Hotel Gran Tacande Tenerife
Playa de las Americas
The Gran Hotel Tacande, ("Volcanic Earth" in the ancient Guanche language), is the jewel in the crown of Dreamplace Hotels and Resorts, well established in Tenerife as hoteliers of the highest standards. Opened in June 2002, the hotel is small in size with only 250 rooms and suites, allowing that extra personal service which distinguishes such properties. Discerning clients will appreciate the views of the sea and the colonial style architecture, as well as the general relaxing atmosphere to be found here.
It is located in the select area of Costa Adeje, adjacent to the Playa del Duclue beach with local shops and bars in the vicinity. A stroll along the promenade will take you to the heart of Playa de las Americas.
There are two salt water swimming pools are set in the garden and terrace area with plenty of sun-bathing space, sun loungers and parasols. The area also incorporates a salt water jacuzzi and refreshing fountains. There is a saloon and lounge areas inside.
Sports Facilities include tennis and paddle courts. The hotel has specially agreed reduced green fees with 5 courses in the south and one in the north of the island. Nearby on the beach, a variety of water based activities is available.
The Zurron Restaurant offers international cuisine in buffet style with show cooking. A la carte dining is available in the Bocoy with nouvelle cuisine specialties. Overlooking the pool is the Zumeria for freshly produced fruit juices, cocktails and pre-dinner drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. The Bocana Barbecue Grill serves delicious grills in a casual setting. A lobby bar near the reception and lounge bar offer a warm welcome inside. You’ll also find a pianist most evenings in the lobby bar.
Accommodation-wise there’s 250 air conditioned rooms and suites are distributed among the 5 different colonial style buildings.
